KENTUCKY ASSISTANT CHIEF DIES IN THE LINE OF DUTY
The Secret List www.FireFighterCloseCalls.com
We regret to pass on to you that Assistant Fire Chief Terry "TC" Culver, 65, of the Calvert City Fire Department (Kentucky, SW of Louisville) has died in the Line of Duty.
While responding to a fire call, Chief Culver became ill with heart attack like symptoms causing him to fall from a piece of fire apparatus onto a concrete floor. Chief Culver was treated and transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries almost two weeks later. The nature and cause of fatal injury is still to be reported.
Our condolences to all those affected. RIP.

HAS YOUR FIRE DEPARTMENT EVER HAD AN LODD IN ITS HISTORY?
We wanted to remind you of the FFCC / Line of Duty Calendar Project. The goal is to create a single point of reference of fire service LODD and serious LODI events. Every name on the calendar is an opportunity to remember, reflect, and learn. In the wake of a loss it is an opportunity to train ourselves to be better and work to prevent future LODD / LODI events. By organizing these events in a calendar format we have the opportunity to make every day about training while not forgetting those who served us. There is no limitation on how far back the calendar can reach.

The initial efforts have focused on the United States and US Armed Forces but I'd like to gradually expand to North America and then perhaps globally.
