Mike's Message

The 2015 Texas811 Damage Prevention Summit is behind us and the year ahead is already moving at a quick pace!

Texas811 En Espa?ol is off and running. Our web page features several Spanish items, including a chat. We have over 40 bilingual Damage Prevention Agents. We're active in the community, working with the Regional Hispanic Contractor's Association. We're spreading translated literature at Damage Prevention Council meetings and more.

Here are a couple of amazing numbers. Monday, March 9, we processed 10,444 tickets. Of that amount, 4,274 were completed by remote users through the Portal. That's over 40 percent!

We've passed the 3,000 mark in Facebook likes.

Still ahead of us in April is our annual Golf Tournament. It's twice as big as before, and you've still got time to sign your teams up.

Most important of all- we've passed the 1,450 mark for members in Texas811.

Until next time, thanks for your dedication and support for damage prevention in Texas.

Mike Losawyer

President, Texas811

  New at the Contact Center

We are proud to announce the promotions of Jon Rollins and Keidre Trammell to Operations Manager.

Jon is a seasoned manager, strategist, and leader. Over the years, Jon has held several positions at Texas811 - including working as a Damage Prevention Agent, Damage Prevention Supervisor, and now in Workforce Management. As a result, Jon's valuable knowledge in change management, team leadership, process improvement, and critical thinking combined with his positive up-beat attitude provide a fresh, results-driven stance in an ever-changing business.

Keidre has been with Texas811 for nearly 12 years, and has been in the customer service industry for 20 years.   She's been working as a DPS for nearly 11 years.  Keidre's upbeat personality, and friendly and outgoing management style have earned her kudos at Texas811 during her career. She is a team player, ensures processes are being followed, dedicated, always looking for ways to improve the Contact Center, and uses strategic thinking to solve problems. We're happily looking forward to her contributions in her new role.

Texas811 was featured in one segment of Dallas-Fort Worth CBS affiliate KTVT's public affairs program, Plugged In To DFW.   Media Manager Scott Finley spoke with host Jason Allen about the need and use of the 8-1-1 number on a program that featured several of the N-1-1 numbers.
