From Lavender Seniors of the East Bay

Oh happy day ??????????
This is dedicated to all of you incredible people who worked for this your entire lives, those w ho were part of big and small protests and those who simply refused to change, to those who spent years hiding, to those who lost family or jobs or opportunities because you were simply being you. To all who never thought you'd live to see this day.......
CONGRATULATIONS!

and if you want to join in the LGBT Pride parade truck/float building event, it's

Saturday,June 27th at 10am

37510 Dusterberry Way, Fremont

Assembling and decorating the float is almost as much fun as the parade itself!  This will last until they are done... which is usually early afternoon around 2:00 p.m.  They'll have food, water, and all decorating supplies.  Please RSVP to [email protected] so they know they have enough volunteers and can plan food/water.  Also, if you know anyone who will donate us food/water, please let them know!

Sunday, June 28, 11:30 a.m. - San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade

See details on where to go below and attached.

Please RSVP so they know who is coming and can plan accordingly.

Please arrive between 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at our parade staging location, which is on Main Street between Mission and Howard.  They are entry #159.  The assembly map and parade route are attached for your reference.  Please account for heavy traffic (or take BART!) so that you arrive on time.

T-shirts!!!  If you have a Fremont Pride t-shirt from prior years, please wear it.  They will have about 40 new t-shirts for people newly joining us or for those who have worn-out (or forget) your old shirts.  If you are coming as part of a group (e.g. supporters of an elected official joining our parade entry), you are very welcome to wear your own branded t-shirts.

Bring water, snacks/bag lunch, and sunscreen!  Be safe.  Plan for hours in the sun, so wear sunscreen and stay hydrated/fed.  There are very few food options in walking distance.

Banners - we are bringing our pre-approved Fremont and sponsor banners.  Please do not bring your own banners.
