Dear (Contact First Name),

Progress reports will be sent home on Friday for primary grades and will be available online for fourth through eighth grade students.  Please review your child's progress.  This is our halfway marker toward the end of the second trimester.  It is very important to make up any missing assignments and keep up the good work to improve grades before the end of the trimester.

Traffic Reminders --Big School
When dropping off at the Big School, please remember that drop-off is one way only on Clarke Street on the side of the street adjacent to the school. Please do not double park or allow your child to walk across the street. This is very dangerous. Also, please pull all the way up in the yellow zone as far as you can! Parents who stop by the gate clog up the whole line behind you! It is also very helpful if your child is all ready with his/her backpack to get out of the car quickly (and safely!) so that others may drop off.

Catholic Schools Week --Come celebrate with us!

Catholic Schools Week begins on Saturday, January 24th with our  Open House from 2:00-4:00 PM.  We also ask you to join us for our Family Mass  at 4:30 PM immediately following our Open House.  The following week, January 26th-January 30th, will be a week-long celebration of Catholic Education.  There will be fun activities and themed days planned for students, teachers and parents throughout the week.  Details are coming soon!

Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair will begin on Thursday, January 22nd.  Please see the flyer if you would like to sign up to help.  The Book Fair will be open during our Open House on Saturday and will run through Tuesday, January 27th.  The theme for the Book Fair this year is "Under the Sea." Let's swim into the excitement of reading together!

Warriors Game Tickets
Join us for St. Leander Night at the Warriors game on Sunday, January 25th. Get your tickets before it is too late.  We have less than 30 tickets available.  Tickets are $40 each.

 Daughter Dance
Our first Winter Wonderland Daughter Dance is coming soon!  The dinner dance will be held in the school auditorium on Friday, January 30th.  Dress will be semi-formal and photos will be available.  Don't miss out on the fun! Tickets will be sold after school on Friday, Jan. 16th and Tuesday, Jan. 20th at the Big School.

Growing Up Asian in America    Students are invited to submit art, essays, poems and videos that celebrate Asian heritage and express their ideas on being Asian and American.  The entry deadline is Wednesday, March 4, 2015.  More information is available at www.asianpacificfund.org or www.nbcbayarea.com, search: Growing Up.

Help Us Make a World of Difference!

                           The classroom before . . .

                       The classroom so far!

We expanded the size of the classroom by demolishing the closet and plan to replace that space with cabinets for storage and sinks. We have installed new flooring with electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures,  whiteboard, a new bulletin board and a fresh coat of paint.  We also upgraded our handrails to comply with accessibility requirements. We still need to complete the second phase of our project to purchase and install the cabinets and sinks along the back wall and purchase appropriate classroom furniture and supplies.

Please Help Us!
Pledge donations for one or two years are still an option
to help us reach our goal of completing our classroom! Please consider making a one-time donation or a pledge which can be paid by monthly check or charged to your credit card. Help us bring St. Leander School's Science Classroom into the future.
