Practice Exercise

Reflect on who you know that you would describe as humble. Remember humble doesn't mean poor or quiet. It is a quiet confidence without neediness.

What is it about that person that you would describe as humble?

How is that powerful or meaningful for you? What is the learning here for you?

Reflect on times when you have felt humility, and times when you come from pride.

Begin a self-inventory on a daily basis for one month as you track this, and invite yourself to choose with awareness to step into the energy of humility.

Reflect on when you find yourself competitive with others.  Read More

 Humility Changed My Life

I am a client of Bev's and I have never written in the newsletter. I am glad it's anonymous because I am embarrassed to write this. I am a big show off. I hog the stage and never stop talking. I drive my partner batty, and probably my friends too.

I lost my job a while back, and I am embarrassed to be unemployed. I brag about everything I know so that people will think I am powerful, even when I don't feel it. It was a, huge mind-opening experience.
