 Challah Program
We are pleased to announce that we will be offering the opportunity to purchase Challah through the school every Friday. By prepaying for 1 or 2 Challahs a week, your Challah will be sent home with your child every week baked fresh from the Carriage House Bakery.

Challahs are $5 each. If you are interested you can prepay through the office to receive challah starting next week until winter break. Please note there will not be Challah on   Nov. 20  which is a PD day. Orders and payment must be received by   Wednesday, Nov. 4  for the next 7 weeks. ($35 for one challah or $70 for two challahs)

We apologize but no orders can be accepted after   Wednesday, Nov. 4.

 Winter After School Clubs
If anyone has any suggestions for after school clubs for the winter term please email them to Rabbi Greenwald or Mrs. Anna Lourie at [email protected].
 Adult Child Learning
Adult Child Learning will begin next Motzai Shabbat November 8 at House of Jacob. It is a great opportunity to come study with your child. There is 20 minutes of Chavruta study followed by a story and a snack. Prizes are earned for regular attendance. Sponsorships are available through the shul office.
Mincha Minyan
We will be starting a Mincha Minyan at Akiva this coming week. It will be at 2:45 PM on Mondays and at 1 PM on Tuesday through Thursday. If you are able to help make the minyan it would be much appreciated.
Parent Ambassador Training
We are excited to be bringing in a parent ambassador training seminar which will be held on Tuesday, November 17. Mrs. Rebecca Egolf will be coming to give a seminar to Akiva parents. Please RSVP if you are able to attend.
Parents Association
We are in the process of setting up the Parents Association which will consist of parent volunteers. We are looking to compile a list of volunteers who would be willing to be contacted for helping to organize events and special programs. If you are interested in being on the list of volunteers, please submit your name to the office.
Parsha Class
Our weekly Parsha class continues. We meet every Thursday morning from 8:30-9:00 am in the staff room. All parents are welcome to join us.  The class focuses on parenting lessons from the Parsha.  No prior knowledge or experience necessary.
