REMINDER -  The Grant Road Project divides the northern boundary of Jefferson Park into two construction phases - Phase 2 (2015-2018) and Phase 5 (2021+).  This is the only section along the strip that divides a neighborhood in this way.  This is the only section impacting an Historic District in such a way. Jefferson Park neighborhood is the only neighborhood which will undergo a very lengthy destruction/construction--6+ years. The 1st to Campbell Coalition strives to have input into decisions that will affect the character and design of the properties left after the destruction.  Show your support by going to jeffersonpark.info and adding your name to the list of supporters. The form is on the home page!

Coalition presentation on July 16
Field Trip to
Citizen's Task Force Mtg - a bit confusing!
The First to Campbell Coalition presented concerns and options at the July 16 Grant Road Citizens Task Force meeting.  Attending to support the coalition were Banner Health, Sausage Deli, Tucson Residents for Responsible Government, and Catalina Vista as well as many Jefferson Park and SAMOS Neighbors.  .

Questions still remain.  Will there be a way for stakeholders to have legitimate, fruitful input into the "above the curb" designs and uses of the parcels that remain after the destruction? Will the Grant Road design complete the proposed Jefferson park Health/History bike/pedestrian walkway? Will the city commit to paying the cost of the consultant to redraw the historic boundaries to compensate for the loss of the contributing properties along Grant? Will there be adequate buffering from the traffic?  These questions remain unanswered...hence the ducky expresses this writer's feelings.

If you are in favor of getting answers to these questions and having productive input into the process, support the Coalition by attending meetings and registering your support.  Go to jeffersonpark.info and fill out the support form on the Home Page - right column.
