Congrats Todd Frazier!

You thought I'd forgotten about baseball. Psh! Never!

The new home run derby format seems to be popular among fans, commentators and, most definitely, Frazier. We'd love to hear any thoughts you might have on the format on Facebook. Feel free to join the conversation on the newsletter post! If you ask me, it kinda reminds me of the APBA Home Run Der... wait a minute... okay which one of you snitches shared our secret formula for derby fun? 'Fess up and we'll consider forgiving you.

Anyway, we're looking forward to the All Star Game this evening and then to the remainder of the season. Hopefully certain teams will use this slight break to step up their game.

Fun fact: There are only two days in the year in which none of the major four North American sports leagues play games. These are the day before and the day after the MLB All Star Game.

And you thought I couldn't teach you anything. (Note: this trivia fact becomes a bit polluted during Olympic years and whether or not we include NFL pre-season games. But in general, it's only those two days.)

As a friendly reminder: all lineups are available on the online store website as free downloads. We recommend downloading (and printing if desired) your lineups when you are ordering.

1939 Baseball

Master Reprint

APBA is excited to announce that the newest season to be reprinted as a master card set is the 1939 baseball season. The 532 card set will be available starting Thursday for $44. Remember, this is a reprint: it doesn't change any of the stats or results, it only adds the master symbols and pitching fatigue ratings to the card.

So, if you want your symbols on your card set, head on over to the online store and order the 1939 Master Baseball card set!

City Disks

New York City Now Available

The long-awaited New York city disk is now available! The disk is $10 and includes some of the best years for the Giants, Mets, Yankees, Dodgers and even the 1913 Lincoln Giants. So order your New York city disk today!

The bundle will now be expanded to include the New York city disk.

2011 Baseball Base Sets

We have 3 sets of the 2011 basic baseball base sets remaining. These 600 card sets do not come with the XBs, and so are available for the discounted price of $40. We will be reprinting the season with master symbols and pitching fatigue ratings, but if you'd like the basic base set...be one of the first three to order!
