Why Giving to HC DrugFree Matters
We in Howard County are lucky to have a number of organizations that help to improve the quality of life in our County. HC DrugFree works hard to be a part of this effort, in partnership with the Howard County Police Department, the Howard County Public School System, the PTA Council of Howard County, the Howard County Health Department, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, and the Howard County Library System.

Giving Tuesday, a global day to celebrate generosity and giving back, is on December 2, 2014.  Can we count on your support? Why wait - click on the Donate button now!

HC DrugFree's mission to empower Howard County residents matters because:
  • We provide integrated (substance abuse and mental health) educational programs
  • We distribute timely updates in our free electronic newsletter about changes in laws, parent tips, local and national trends and more.
  • We educate parents and youth on how to keep youth safe at concerts
  • Our Teen Advisory Council gives Howard County high school students the chance to work on projects like the recent public service announcement about staying sober at homecoming or the unnecessary costs of getting caught with alcohol or other drugs on Prom night.
  • We serve in leadership roles on school and community boards and committees to share timely and accurate local and national data.
  • We support the Howard County Police Department on National Drug Take Back Day and educate throughout the year on over-the-counter and prescription drug abuse.
  • We serve as the only site in Howard County to take back unwanted needles, syringes and Epi-Pens.
All of our services are FREE to you, but we need your financial support.

HC DrugFree is also listed with the United Way of Central Maryland as a health and human service nonprofit recipient book # 40683.  Please consider giving a gift to HC DrugFree through the United Way Campaign.
