AERIAL ARTS AMERICA proudly presents
The 3rd Annual West Coast Aerial Arts Festival - November 13-15, 2015

Established in 2012, AERIAL ARTS AMERICA (AAA) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization recognized as one of the international governing bodies for aerial arts. It operates as an arm to develop standards through educational programs (e.g. teacher certification and scholarship programs), stage and entertainment performances and competition based festivals.

AAA is proud to announce its  3rd Annual West Coast Aerial Arts Festival (WCAAF), scheduled for Nov. 13 - 15, 2015 in the beautiful sunny Orange County, California. The WCAAF is a one of a kind event that brings together aerial arts students, schools and other teaching and performing institutions in one space. It provides a platform for all students to present their skills in a competitive venue.  It brings about camaraderie and awareness in our community. It inspires the youth and the adults to challenge their limits, and explore beyond their creative and artistic boundaries.

Aside from the competitions, WCAAF will also hold workshops, including technique training, rigging, performance and business management.   These activities are the avenues that set the standards and educate the community to respect and safeguard the aerial arts discipline. And we see no better way to get our schools involved to promote in a unanimously accepted visionary statement, than to participate in the WCAAF activities this Fall.

Competition: As a competition arena, this event will hold many categories based on age and aerial apparatus and will cater mainly to amateur candidates, although said competition will also hold "OPEN" divisions, which includes professional levels.   We will invite professionals to judge the competition and their resumes will be posted on the website. Each candidate is required to complete an application packet and fully pay the required fees prior to ones participation. For more details regarding this, please refer to WCAAF links.

Culminating Exhibition Showcase: On Sunday, November 15, 2015, a culminating performance showcase will take place at the Yost Theater or a similar venue. Winners of each division will have the opportunity to showcase their winning routine, coupled with group ensemble pieces performed by all Festival participants. Additionally, we are calling on artists to apply for a guest spot appearance on stage and we accept solo, duo or group acts. To learn more or to apply, please visit our Aerial Arts America - Guest Performer.

Workshops: In conjunction with its competition section, the festival will also hold workshops by guest artists highly regarded in their respective fields. We invite aerial educators to come forward and apply to become a workshop instructor. We shall be looking for Aerial Arts (any apparatus), Circus Arts (ground), and other related topics.  Please click or follow this link:  Application for Workshop Instructor

Vendors: There shall be vendor tables for related aerial arts products and a marketing table for school flyers, events and notices. If you are interested to be a vendor, please contact [email protected].
