Summer, technically, isn't here until June 21, but who's counting?  School is out, the sandals are on and all the pools are open!  There are a few important announcements in this issue, so read on!

 

Many of you are travelling this summer to camp, family vacations and mission trips. My prayers are with you and I wish you all safe travels and look forward to your return in the fall.

Middle School Mission Camp

The Middle School Mission Camp is almost full for participants! 
We have 2 spots left and then will move to a waiting list.

WE NEED:
Adults & Youth Counselors

WE HAVE:
Several adult spots open.  
We cannot do this event without adults, 
so please go online to My St. David's and 
sign up to help for any part of the week or the whole time!

There are 2 spots left for Youth to serve as leaders of this camp.  Please consider doing this as part of your service offering this summer.


The camp is from 9am - 5pm, August 3rd - 7th
YOUTH VESTRY

We have been talking about Youth Leadership and have begun the good work!  The newest members of your Youth Vestry are:

Ben Carsner (rising senior)
Maisie Sajbel (rising senior)
Michael McNeil (rising junior)
Felicity Stokes (rising sophomore)

These students have committed to representing you to the larger church community.  Please great them when you see them and thank them for agreeing to serve in this capacity.  They will be nominating adults (and asking you to nominate adults) to help serve on this Vestry.  Adults, please prayerfully consider applying.  They will vote in the fall and then announce the newest members.

Congratulations to our Youth Vestry and many thanks to the church Vestry for recognizing the value of this endeavor.
Malawi Mission

Please come to Crail C this Sunday, June 21, during the formation hour to hear about the mission trip to Malawi.  The original trip was in 2005 and youth were very involved in that trip.  It was the first trip from St. David's to Malawi.

You are invited to listen to the history and evolution of this vital mission of St. David's and perhaps see where you might get involved.
Second Sunday Youth Forums ...
The second Sunday of each month during the summer we will have casual conversation in the Youth Room (#170)
July 12 is the next one and August 9 will be the final one 
before we kick off the fall season!
