TSC School Garden Grant - DEADLINE EXTENDED!
The deadline has been extended to January 15th for any teachers interested in earning $500 to start, revitalize, or expand a school garden. 

There are many grants still available for New York teachers!

How about them apples? Agricultural Literacy Week is around the corner!
Agricultural Literacy Week will be celebrated across the state in just a few short months, March 14th-18th, 2016. 

The selected book for 2016 is The Apple Orchard Riddle by Margaret McNamara and illustrated by G. Brian Karas. This fun and exciting story shares the journey of Mr. Tiffin's class on a field trip to an apple orchard.

Teachers, if you would like a volunteer to read and conduct an activity in your classroom during Ag Literacy Week,

North Country Junior Iron Chef Registration
Register your team by January 15th for the North Country Jr. Iron Chef competition. Teams of 3 to 5 consisting of middle and high school students are accepted, and they will be creating healthy recipes using a combination of local and USDA commodity foods. 

The event will take place on March 12, 2016 in Potsdam, NY. Learn more and register your team here
