June is Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month and the Alzheimer's Association reminds us to keep our brain and body fit by adopting healthy lifestyle habits

The Hudson Valley/Rockland/Westchester Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association offers support and advice to families with Alzheimer's Disease.  For more information and valuable tools, click here:

Do you know someone who would benefit from cognitive therapy?  Gramatan Village's Community Partner Aging Smart provides specialized programs at home or in a health care facility.  These programs are perfect for active individuals as well as those with memory impairment.  For more information click here:

Aging Smart 

 

Gramatan Village is experiencing a growing demand for volunteer drivers who can offer our members rides to and from local errands and appointments.  The #1 request Gramatan Village receives from its members is for transportation.  Our members may request a ride to run an errand or for a medical appointment.  The majority of the ride requests are within the local area, Bronxville, Tuckahoe, Eastchester and Yonkers.  Most rides take less than an hour.


 



 

These rides usually take very little time, but they make a huge difference for our members!  For more information click here:

Do you know a high school or college student who would like to do community service this summer?  Our youth volunteers can run errands, provide assistance with cell phones and computers and do light gardening.  Our members love being with young people!
