Jessica Grant

Chapter President

May is National Recommitment Month, so we invite you to our seminar on May 15th to learn more about NCMA's leadership opportunities and benefits of NCMA volunteering to your career growth.

This panel will be led by a panel of members from NCMA's Board of Directors: Patricia Garcia, Kimberly Rupert, and Mary Ann Wangemann.

We always have a need for study group instructors, assistance at our monthly seminars, and support of the planning team for the Chapter's activities. Chapter elections have closed for the 2015 - 2016 Program Year, but if you're interested in volunteering with the chapter, May's seminar will be a great time to sign up! You can also register as a volunteer online by clicking here. The chapter will install the newly elected officers at the last meeting of the current Program Year, June 19, 2015.

Wishing you all a great start to the week, and if you have any questions or comments about the Dulles Corridor Chapter's organization or activities, please reach out to me at [email protected].

Take care,

Jessica Grant, CFCM

Chapter President

Election Results

The results are in! Here are the elected Chapter Officers for the 2015-2016 Program Year:
  • President: Michael Shingledecker
  • Secretary: Matthew Koetter
  • Treasurer: Jessica Grant
  • VP Membership: Eileen Brown
  • VP Professional Development: Heather Dallara
  • VP Programs: Melissa Favorito
Congratulations to all!

The new officers will hit the ground running in July by filling out the rest of the Chapter Executive Council. One of the officer positions, VP Operations, did not have any nominees so in accordance with the Chapter Bylaws, the Chapter Executive Council will appoint someone to fill the position.

In addition, the Chapter Officers are required to appoint the following Director positions:
  • Awards and Honors Director
  • Certifications Director
  • Communications Director
  • NES Director
  • Seminar Director
The chapter membership will receive updates on all of these appointments after they are made.
World Congress: Let Us Know If You're Attending

This year's World Congress is at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas, TX. Chapter Treasurer Michael Shingledecker was selected by NCMA as one of several volunteers to assist during the event.

As with every World Congress, NCMA is hosting the Summer Chapter Leader Summit for NCMA chapter leaders. The summit takes place the weekend before World Congress (July 25-26).  NCMA's chapter leader training series provides an opportunity for chapter leaders across the country to share their experiences, hear advice on chapter success, and connect with their fellow leaders. Several Dulles Corridor Chapter Executive Council are attending so that we can bring back ideas to improve on our current success and grow the chapter for you, our members.

If you're planning to attend World Congress, drop us a line . We would love to meet up with you during the event!
