W Encourager Header
Welcome to EFC-ER's Weekly Encourager. We trust that this will become a bright spot each week in your emails. The purpose of the Weekly Encourager is to provide up-to-date information about region-wide events, prayer requests, and helpful resources from the local churches. We will close each email with a quick quote and/or survey to gather helpful resources from leaders to share with our wider Friends family.
"Needs and Notes" for Yearly Meeting
will be coming in the next few weeks. Watch for highlights of our upcoming Yearly Meeting, which will be held in Canton, Ohio on July 18-21, and for needs that our churches can help with.

They are available to speak at churches as well. To schedule, contact Michael and Vivian directly at  (330) 617 - 6751 or  [email protected]
Keeping Prayer a High Priority
We trust that every church is sharing these prayer requests within their local prayer community. Here are this week's requests:

1 - Please keep Pastor Tom Showalter (Barberton Friends Church) in your prayers with the recent passing of his brother. We will send details as they come.
2 - Pastor Craig Henry (DFC- Salem) has been admitted to the Cleveland Clinic with health complications.
3 - Continue to keep our Friends in Nepal in your prayers as they experienced another earthquake this week
. Dan Cammack (EFM Director) gave this update, "
A little more than two weeks have passed since the big earthquake in Nepal and the ground is still trembling. According to one of our missionaries, the aftershocks numbered 169 as of last Saturday.
There are still widespread shortages of food, water, and shelter.
Grief and suffering are very real in Nepal right now as well as health hazards and shortages of all kinds. May our Father in heaven give them the food, water, and shelter they need as well as peace through His son Jesus." John and Sangi and Priscilla and Samson are safe, but sleeping in their vehicles again. Bob and Debby A. have returned to the U.S. for their daughter's graduation. You may continue send contributions to the EFC-ER labeled "Nepal Relief" and they will be sent to EFM.
4 -
Please join the Camp Gideon summer leadership team in praying for God to provide additional male and female assistant counselors to serve as part of the summer staff.
