NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter Newsletter
August 3, 2015

Ever feel like you are being bombarded with information on a daily basis? Houzz.com may be the Designer's panacea for customer leads, communication and design resource management.

At the July Chapter Meeting, Houzz guided our members through their site's tools for Designers, Builders, Contractors and other Design Professionals. We learned how to streamline and improve client communication via Idea Books and private messaging. Houzz co-founders Adi Tatarko and Alon Cohen launched the site in February 2009 as a result of frustrations from their own remodeling project.

By developing your own personal profile, Houzz now allows you to categorize, organize and simply navigate millions of pieces of design data with ease. As a Design Professional, you can now even create your own website using Houzz tools. And while the evening was loaded with tips and tricks, the number one take-away might be the statistic that 90% of all Houzz clients say they pick their Design Pros based on "the reviews" on Houzz.

Volunteers Needed for the
NKBA Booth at the Colorado Fall Home Show!
Dear NKBA Member,

Even though it's still hot outside, we are making plans for Fall....specifically the Colorado Fall Home Show, slated for the Colorado Convention Center on Friday, September 11th thru Sunday, September  13th.

We have totally redesigned our booth to make it more inviting and share the pride that we are representing one of the most active and successful NKBA Chapters in the country!  Our Peak Award Winners will be displayed and we will have very meaningful handouts for those of you who wish to volunteer!!!  First come, first served on the time slots and just about everyone last year received a CLIENT out of this show!

We expect 30,000 attendees and if you sign up as a volunteer, you'll go FREE.  You'll also be able to visit the almost 600 booths to see the latest and greatest in Home Renovation, products and ideas! There will also be more Educational Seminars given at the show.

Call Barbara Barton to reserve your spot!

Social Media Reminder

This year we have been committed to making social media a bigger part of our communications plan and to teaching our members best practices for using social media to grow your business.

Earlier this year we partnered with Colorado Homes and Lifestyles to hold a social media workshop and our latest chapter meeting featured a representative from Houzz.  Look for future opportunities to learn more about these tools!
And follow the Rocky Mountain Chapter on your favorite tool!  Use the hashtag #nkbarmc when posting about our events or other related items. See you online!
