And... NO ONE KNOWS THE DATE that the RI/RV will occur... but there is ONE date that we BELIEVE that they 'Seek' to have ALL DONE BEFORE.... and that is Ramadan... June 17th by our calendar.

So (Frank and TS) are thinking that DR.S is looking to activate what we are looking for BEFORE.... and "BY"... Ramadan....

Haider said, that "the central bank decided to print large cash classes in preparation for the application of the decision to delete the zeros of the currency in the coming period."

HI ALL

FRIENDS, FAMILY, COUNTRYMEN, LEND ME YOUR PIGS. THE VEGETABLES ARE ON THE RUN, AND WE NEED A FEW MORE VEGETABLE CONTROL ANIMALS TO ROUND THEM UP AND TAKE CARE OF THEM.

IT IS TRUE THAT THE CLEANUP IS PRETTY WELL DONE, WITH A FEW HOLDOUTS HERE AND THERE THAT ARE ON THE TO-DO LIST. 

ONCE THE CLEANUP IS COMPLETED SUFFICIENTLY, THEN THE FUNDS WILL BE RELEASED INTO THE MAINSTREAM. THAT IS ALL EXPECTED TO START THE WEEK OF THE 18TH.

THERE IS NOT REALLY THAT MUCH TO SAY AT THE MOMENT ON THAT, EXCEPT THAT THE NEW REPUBLIC OF THE USA IS WELL ADVANCED, AND THE SEATS ARE PRETTY WELL FILLED IN THE NEW GOVERNMENT.

Mike   Again, instead of saying Iraq was going to print a 50K note, this article is telling us the exact opposite, that there's no reason to print a larger note because of the problems it would cause.  

it also tells us that they have completed all the steps: "has taken all actions relating to the restructuring of the Iraqi currency, including the design of the currency and denomination and the quality of paper used her."  

Somehow, the IQD Team, Breitling and Steve are all taking the old articles from 2011/12 and turning them into a positive with the latest news from Saleh.  No on ever thought that Iraq was going to print a 50K note until the recent rash of articles out of Saleh and the FC, we've always believed that they were talking about "categories" not the actual note.

To be clear, if Iraq prints this note, I don't see how it can construed for anything other than a delay in the adding value to the dinar.  I don't think Iraq can do that now, they're only making around $55 billion this year and salaries and pensions are $41 billion.  

That leaves very little for infrastructure, ration card items and fighting the war against ISIL.  Like all speculation, we'll just need to sit tight and see what happens.  If they release the 50K notes it's going to be important to watch the money supply and see if it grows.

DreamWeaver    Previously conjectured releasing 50ks is bridge move by CBI--which is all about delete the zeros; but don't at all think it is solely about pulling in large notes.  

Those 2014 denoms are already being exchanging for tattered denoms.  50ks will do that PLUS something that may surprise people.  I've no need, any longer, to hammer down every detail.  

Not important--my RV puzzle complete enough to be comfortable that CBI following Shabibi's delete-the-zeros blueprint.

Posting my beliefs last week on 50ks in detail, so not going to reiterate except to say that releasing 50,000 notes is not at all about preparing the stage for the project. 

 As I posted--when it was announced in February--the stage was already prepared & set when they moved to pull those 50s--THAT WAS THE ACTION that verified Phase 2 of delete the zeros is under way--which INCLUDES rate change, introducing new lowers, and moving to Article VIII.  Very exciting Phase, for sure.

This is just what I expected to see announced in May--though I still expect to see action by CBI to follow shortly--which probably means releasing those 50s in June ... July at latest.  

Probably will be released without us knowing, though--as that's their MO.   Didn't ever announce those 2014 denoms were released into circulation last Spring--but they were.     

Expecting to be awed the next few months--as my intuition is whispering we haven't see anything yet.  So, I'm going to just watch what they DO without worrying about every facet, as no doubt in my mind the Phase we have been awaiting since 2012 is UNDERWAY.  

I'm going to take vacation, give the brain a rest, and relax.  Will check back in for next  CBI action, as 50ks being released is done deal.  Is next mechanism (action) introducing new lowers, etc?  Boy do I hope so ... here's to NEXT!   :D

2015/05/12 23: 10   Tomorrow press Baghdad: a member of the parliamentary Finance Committee, Massoud Haider Tuesday, the Central Bank decided to reprint significant cash to create categories to remove leading zeros from the currency, saying that the resolution and the decision maker and awaiting implementation.-

Said Haidar to "tomorrow," "the Finance Committee discussed with the Governor of the Central Bank of the relationship at its most recent meeting the printing of currency if there is liquidity," adding that "the Central Bank decided to reprint some significant cash to remove leading zeros from the currency during the period ahead."

The categories to be printed and 100,000 Iraqi dinar ", pointing out that the 'thoughtful and decision-maker for more than two years and only implementation remains'.

BondLady & Admins Chat 05/13/2015 50,000 Dinar Notes

 [Shredd] I was thinking about this 50k news and had this thought: 

The CBI plans to move gradually from the dollar to the dinar. While this happens in the beginning, the dollar will still need to be used but the CBI wants to continue to reduce the large notes. This can be done with the 50k. The rate will be low enough at the beginning to support this note being in circulation.

If this is the case, the beginning of the change to the dinar may be close. The gradual (managed imo) change will begin as the reduction of the note count continues but is more agressive since the most used denoms will be coming in.

This is the only scenario I can see that would make sense regarding the release of the 50k note. The articles, while not yet from the horse's mouth, are supporting this; no increase in notes and no change in monetary policy.
