"What dreadful hot weather we have!
It keeps me in a continual state of inelegance."
- Jane Austen

August is here, and we can definitely relate to Ms. Austen's stricken state. Sweat beads roll down our foreheads, a perpetual dampness pervades everything, and beating back the lethargy that creeps in can be exhausting. Luckily, our reading room stays mostly cool, and you can retreat down to those friendly confines and listen to the soothing sounds of poetry and prose.

Little Oddfellows opens on Saturday, August 1st, and those of us that have been clamoring for cold sustenance (and an accessible restroom) should be quite pleased with the result.

We look forward to seeing you!
