Winning Moments in the Region-GAME ON!

2015 Annual Meeting Presented by Xcel Energy

Imagine Bob Barker on stage. The recognizable 70's game show set with glittery orange curtains. The Price is Right theme music plays and Bob's (Drew Carey's) famous phrase "Come on Down!" rocks the studio. That was a big moment for some enthusiastic contestants and a big win for some. We want to give you the opportunity to have your own winning moment at this year's Annual Meeting.

On February 19th the games begin as we celebrate the accomplishments of the region, as well as the successes of your Chamber. Collectively, we experienced a remarkable year of growth across the public and private sectors. Cranes populated skylines, the MLB All Star Game came to town, Garth Brooks sold out 11 shows at the Target Center, cars wearing pink mustaches appeared on city streets and CEO's slept outdoors to raise awareness about the issue of youth homelessness.

There were so many more winning moments for the region; so many that we are sure no one knows them all. Or do you? We are challenging our members to prove us wrong at this fun, engaging and informative event. Test your knowledge against hundreds of attendees and compete for amazing prizes donated by member companies.

But it won't all be fun and games.  We will provide a comprehensive overview of the great advancements that occurred throughout the region in the areas of transportation, economic development, workforce, education and of course arts and entertainment.

Answer this multiple choice question:

Will you be at the annual meeting?

a) I'm already a sponsor-of course!

b) I'm filling a table right now!

c) I'm going to follow the link below and register today

d) I'm already googling the region so I can win something amazing

All of these answers are correct! Click on this link to register today.

Also, CenterPoint Energy was  named one of the Cogent Reports 2014 Utility Customer Champions,  based on in-depth responses from 40,000 residential customers of the 127 leading U.S. electric and natural gas utility companies. Got the Urge to Network? ConnectForLunch Dramatically Updated

Our ConnectForLunch program has just been dramatically updated. Instead of the current version, which offered only one day each week, the new version will now be available three days every week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 52 weeks a year.

And there's more improvements. Lots more:

  • You'll have more choices: Now you can choose which restaurant you'd like to go to, instead of being assigned to a particular restaurant by the software. French cuisine? Italian? Vegetarian? A restaurant that's close by? The choice is yours.
  • And more choices: You can choose to meet new contacts, renew contacts with businesspeople you've met before, or both. Just pick the group you'd like to join... or start your own group.
  • And more flexibility: Instead of the current twice-a-month subscription which restricted you to only two lunches a month, you'll be able to buy packets of five, ten or twenty lunches which can be used at any time. Any unused lunches are fully refundable within six months after purchase.
  • And even more flexibility: Have an opening in your schedule? No more waiting until next week to go to lunch: you can go to lunch as early as the next day.

Click here to see upcoming lunches.
