2015 Fitzgerald Pig Pickin
Results

20 teams competed for the 1st Annual Fitzgerald Pig Pickin' BBQ Cook Off. . Competing for points and bragging rights! This BBQ cook off was a fully-sanctioned Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) BBQ competition.

The Fitzgerald Pig Pickin' event coordinators enjoyed hosting the event and look forward to a bigger and better next year. There are teams already wanting to sign up for next year.

Grand Champion - The Pit Crew

Tina Cannon is the cook/pitmistress and her team Started Competing in

2009 in the Backyard Division cooking and winning in KCBS,MBN, FBA and

GBA and through much urging from other Teams/Friends moved to Pro

Division 2011 and found there Home cooking KCBS Circuit. Tina is from

Peachtree City, GA. She is planning on returning next year.

As "Grand Champions" The Pit Crew took home the trophey and $2,600 in cash!

The Board of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development announcesBen Hill County graduates from the 2015 Region 11 Multi-Day Training Program. Class participants represented a number of professional and non-professional economic development fields, including elected officials, public servants, business leaders, educators, and social service providers from 18 counties in the Southeast Georgia region. The Academy provided each of the graduates an opportunity to gain a unique understanding of the complexities of economic and community development on the local, regional, and state levels.
