Parish Goals First goal: Spiritual practices We will grow as Christians by learning and practicing spiritual habits that deepen our relationships with God and each other.
Second Goal: Stewardship We seek to grow in gratitude, generosity and commitment to our church, each other and the wider community, by recognizing more fully our many gifts from God in our parish and in our own lives.
Third Goal: Church Beyond the Walls We will ensure that Church Beyond the Walls continues to thrive as a worshiping community, by defining its future relationship with Epiphany, and by creating a plan for its sustainability. |

Rose petals and Holy Thursday A small basket of rose petals, Soft to touch, fragrant, created by God Giving glory, Gently dropped to the ground
Preparing the way for the Holy, The solemn parade from altar to altar On this the Holy Night of Remembrance, Slowly we move in procession;
The music draws us deep into ourselves, Opening our hearts to Christ's heart Every beat is measured and sure, The Spirit of God encircles us, giving strength for the journey.
Slowly, slowly we move forward, the smell of incense fills the space, White clouds of smoke reaching up to the heavens God our creator, reaching down from the heavens
Arms outstretched, tears running down, Oh, that this would not have to be, Quiet whisper, I am here my son, I am here God's hand cupping Christ face
With you I am well pleased God's hand cupping our face, A kiss upon our forehead A hand upon our shoulder.
As we walk with Christ From light to darkness, His story our story His blood mingled with our blood.
The small crowd continues to the altar of repose, Willing to vigil with the Holy one, To wait for what will come Lost in free fall to a journey seemingly without end.
The rose petals continue to give strength to our foot steps, They are spread before the place Christ will stay There in the dim light we vigil Together we pray.
The wind blows and stirs the petals They fill the air with a delicious smell They twist and turn Now it's Christ with us Holding us, His story is our story.
God with us now, always and forever. Together we wait, together we pray. The promise of light fills the air, Darkness may be for now, but it cannot hold back the light. Maryalice |

Stewardship throughout the Year: |
|
Commission System Education Commission The Education Commission is chaired by Karen Virtue, together with the teachers and members of the commission they prepare the schedule and lessons for all ages. The Godly Play Program is a Montessori-style program that brings the Bible stories to life for pre-K through 3rd grade aged children. Grades 4-8 ("Tweens") use a lectionary based curriculum to help tie the week's lessons to daily life. Sunday Adult Bible study examines books of the Bible as a whole. The Sunday Adult Forums' current theme is "Spiritual Practices, Personal Discernment and Discipleship". Weekly discussions vary and occasional guest speakers enhance the discussion with views on many Christian topics. Thursday's "Gospel to Go" (held at Seven Stars Bakery) examines the upcoming Sunday's lessons in depth. There are also intergenerational programs such as Advent Wreath making, Epiphany Pageant and Extravaganza, Family Sunday services and Date Nights in Lent. All these programs work to strengthen our relationship with God and with each other. There is always a need for teachers and program leaders please contact Karen if you can help for day or for a season. |
