IN THE NEWS
March was a busy month for Extension in Currituck. Over 11,000 contacts, nearly 850 volunteer hours,
and a wide variety of educational programs targeted at real needs in our community made it tough to share in two minutes. Check out the video and see if our host can get it all in without passing out!

4-H & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Currituck County 4-H has a variety of hands-on learning experiences planned for youth between the ages of 5 and 18 this summer. From overnight events to day camps and educational contests, there is something for everyone. All opportunities require pre-registration so begin making your summer plans now. Read more.  
FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE
If you are nearing age 65 it is time to begin thinking about and planning for Medicare enrollment. Fortunately, Extension is here to help. A free Medicare Update Class is planned for Tuesday, April 21st from 10-12 at the Extension Center in Barco. Pre-registration is requested.  Read more.
AGRICULTURE
It is time to get outside and enjoy your gardens and landscapes. To help you get started, the 2015 Home Flower and Garden Show will be held this weekend. Come out and learn from the educational exhibits, purchase materials to help you get started, and bring the kids to enjoy the "Secret Garden." Read more.
