Teleperformance USA will bring 500 jobs to Reno
A major new business is opening up shop here, and it is bringing 500 jobs to the Reno area.Teleperformance USA is a huge multi-national company that handles customer service call centers for Fortune 500 companies.They have branches all over the world, but they say this one was an easy choice.
Revenue in 2014 - $3.7 Billion , More than 36 years of experience - Presence in 62 Countries. "Oh, Reno was an easy decision. The quality of the workforce, the diversity of the workforce," says Miranda Collard, Teleperformance USA President.
Governor Brian Sandoval adds, "This is a company that could have gone anywhere, and they chose Reno. They said that what
they found here, they couldn't find anywhere. So I'm really grateful for everyone working together." The governor, Reno's mayor, representatives from Washoe County, EDAWN, and even our education system were on hand to celebrate the grand opening.
Governor Sandoval says Northern Nevada will create specific training programs to supply the best employees."They treat their employees really well, and it's just another piece of the puzzle for us, to really be a great place to live, work, and play."
