Help us spread the word within your church or synagogue.

Dear Friend,

Earlier this week, we mailed a letter to all faith-based organizations in Tarrant County, asking them to support Meals On Wheels Pass the Plate 2015  on Sunday, May 17th. We need your help! If you are a member of a local church or synagogue, please help us spread the word and encourage your congregation to join others in the fight against senior hunger.

This May marks the 42nd Anniversary of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County and we are celebrating by asking our friends in the faith-based community to participate in Pass the Plate 2015 by taking up a special offering for the Meals On Wheels Home-Delivered Meals program on or around May 17th. It does not matter whether your congregation is large or small, wealthy or in need. We can all participate at some level and be a part of the solution to end hunger in Tarrant County.

Although we take advantage of government funding sources, we rely on community donations to raise about half of our $6.5 million annual budget.  Without the support of caring individuals, faith-based organizations, and other civic groups, we could not provide nearly 1 million nutritious meals to the homebound elderly and disabled residents of Tarrant County.

If you would like more information about how you can support Meals On Wheels Pass the Plate 2015, please contact Keith Harrison at 817-258-6450 or [email protected]

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Carla Jutson
