The C3 project demonstrates that Hamilton knows how to Connect, Communicate, Collaborate!
A recent project by Workforce Planning Hamilton, with support from our partners Adult Basic Education Association and the Skills Development Flagship, focused on finding ways to strengthen the Employment and Training service delivery network in Hamilton.
The results of the C3, Connect, Communicate, Collaborate: Strengthening the Service Delivery Network in Hamilton project indicates that C3 is alive and well in Hamilton. To keep the momentum going a number of recommendations were made.
Our Choice, Your Future: Employment videos released!
The Adult Basic Education Association (ABEA), in partnership with Workforce Planning Hamilton has released 5 employment videos with support materials targeted to youth exploring their career options. The videos can be used with many different audiences. The videos and support materials were created with feedback from a group of youth in Hamilton.
The following jobs are highlighted:
Early Childhood Educator Customer and Information Service Representative Baker Construction Trades Helper, also called Construction Craft Worker Light Duty Cleaner
Videos and materials are available in English and French.
Spike in employment in March 2015 for women over 55
A recent report by Statistics Canada indicates that more people found part-time work in March 2015, with the jobless rate remaining at 6.8 percent across Canada.
Interesting to note that there were 18,000 more women aged 55+ working in March, with little change in the number of men in the same age group who were working.
