It's so we have time to coordinate transport and all the activities that take place at the end of the 2nd school term. One of the very most important of which are home visits.

$410 will facilitate home visits to provide psycho-social support, monitor living conditions and check child welfare during the final two remaining school term holidays of the academic year (Aug. 15th - Sept. 6th and Dec. 5th - Jan. 31st).

Home visits help ensure the continued care and safety of our kids

You may have difficulty imagining a child who is not looking forward to their summer break...but in Uganda, this is true for so many.

That's because students return to impoverished homes with very few resources to share - and so, it's up to us to ensure that the progress they make in school is not lost while on break. Home visits enable our staff to deliver support to families in need - with primary focus on the continued well-being of our sponsored students.
