The Temple Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2015 Parks Bond Election passed with a 69% approval rating. We were proud to support this effort and are thankful to all who showed up to vote. This will mean wonderful things for the parks throughout our community, and will make an impact for communities across the spectrum.

DON'T LET 'VOTE YES' YARD SIGNS BECOME TRASH! We are happy to announce the City of Temple Solid Waste Department has made arrangements for recycling the 1,000 Vote Yes yard signs parks supporters no longer need! Please take your signs to any of these locations and look for special marked containers: Recycle Center #1 at 3219 Bullseye Lane (east Temple near Landfill entrance at E Loop and Ave H), Recycle Center #2 at 602 Jack Baskins Dr. (behind Gober Party House at Ave H and S. 31st), Fire Station #4 at 411 Waters Dairy Road (south Temple) or Fire Station #7 at 8420 W. Adams (West Temple near soccer fields with the red roof).

Have you heard? It is time for Santa Fe Market Days to continue to shape Saturdays in Temple, Texas forever. The April 4th Saturday brought out approximately 500 individuals and over twenty vendors! 

With the onset of this great series of events already started, organizers are STILL IN NEED of volunteers! Think about stepping up so you can help enhance Temple's unique twist on a traditional farmers market, meet new people from surrounding communities, and have the opportunity to expose your business to a new audience.

So what would these volunteer opportunities look like?

There are various areas where assistance is needed each Saturday. As a volunteer, you may be responsible for helping City of Temple event organizers coordinate with vendors, entertainers, food trucks and Event Organizers.  Santa Fe Market Days are being held every Saturday through the remainder of the year, from 9am - 1pm.
