Busy Travel Days Approaching
  
Nov. 21, 25, 26, 30 and Dec. 1 will see more than 30,000 people per day departing and arriving at PIT. Please allow extra time if you are traveling, particularly if there are winter conditions. Check flight status with your airline before arriving at the airport, download the PIT mobile app for iPhone, Android and Windows devices, and arrive at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure during peak travel times before 9 a.m.,  11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
  

Listen Up: Live Broadcast from PIT

 

WQED 89.3 FM, co-sponsor of of Q the Music - our all local classical music stream - will broadcast live from the Airside Center Core on Monday, Nov. 24, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosts Jim Cunningham and Anna Singer will interview airport officials about new nonstop flights, increased passenger traffic and other terminal improvements during the start of the busy holiday travel season. Sun Air Express has established Pittsburgh as a new focus city for regional air service. Sun Air connects business and leisure travelers from small airports to PIT as their final destination, or as a connection to cities throughout the U.S. and world. Sun Air Express is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, with a primary maintenance base in Lancaster, PA. Through the Department of Transportation's Essential Air Service program, Sun Air Express has been awarded 5 new routes (Jamestown, NY; Franklin, PA; Bradford, PA; Altoona, PA; and Lancaster, PA) and will offer 40 departures and arrivals every business day through PIT.
