IMPACT STORY:   St. Vincent De Paul (Parker, AZ.)

We had a man and his family living in their car, come to us for food and warm clothing. We fed him, provided clothing, and warm blankets. He was so grateful, that he came to volunteer in our soup kitchen. Later, we were able to assist him in finding a very good job at a large grocery chain.

Beachcomber RV Residents Give To Community
Left to Right:   Willi & Inga Mulhaupt, Lyn Demaret
& Ashley Wood (RCUW), Judi and Jim Spiers

Winter Visitors money spent in our community is important to our local economy, but some go above and beyond the call of duty to make a better life for those less fortunate.

Every winter, Willi and Inga Mulhaupt have been coming to their second residence at Beachcomber RV for the past 15 years, meeting up with neighbors Judi and Jim Spiers. While most visitors seek-out things to do here, these couples and many like them within the RV park get together to raise funds as the "Beachcomber Activity Fund". Fundraising efforts include various raffles prizes, 50/50 drawings, and much more which are then distributed to non-profit organizations throughout Lake Havasu City.

On Wednesday, March 4th, River Cities United Way was one recipient presented with a $1,000 check to be allocated towards the "Kids Bright & Healthy" program, ensuring that children who are uninsured or underinsured receive the dental and vision care they need.  "We love to give it to the kids" says Jim Spiers.

River Cities United Way would like to thank Beachcomber RV for their generous donation.
