Happy New Year & Welcome New Board Members

CAN's new fiscal year begins every July 1. CAN celebrates the new year with a Board Orientation for the new incoming board members. The orientation was held on June 30 at CAN.

On June 29, Gwen Goodner (CAN volunteer) and her sweet children donated items for the toiletry sets. Items included: bars of soap, hairbrushes, combs, toothbrushes, toothpastes, deodorants, small bags and some notebooks. Thank You, Gwen, Caleb and Lilian!

Also, on July 2, Matt Davis donated 30 stuffed animals. We are so grateful for Matt's continuous donation of stuffed animals. His sweet donations keep the children smiling! Thank you, Matt!

Brief Overview: This presentation describes the role of social networking sites in today's culture and their prevalence in the lives of both adults and children. The unique responsibilities of those in the medical, legal, law enforcement, victim services and advocacy fields are described to highlight common pitfalls of social media use by professionals. The audience sees examples pulled from various media sites that could cause ethical issues.
