Quilting with Alternative Textures

Hello Bungalow Customers!

Summer is in full swing, and the shop is already busy with tourists. We love to see people from all over!

Above, see the quilt made with Ruffle Fabric. That's right. Quilting with alternative textures is really big right now. This quilt has several blocks with ruffle fabric in it. It is a great fabric that can be used for garments, bags, scarves and quilts. Come in and see it. It certainly adds a great deal of interest to a quilt.

Don't forget that this Saturday is Knit in Public Day. Come to the Bungalow and bring your lawn chair, weather permitting. We will have door prizes and lemonade, and sit out and knit from 10 to 12:30, Saturday, June 13th. We will give a door prize away every 15 minutes. Be sure and mark your calendar. It will be fun!

Come in on Sunday afternoons for Open Knit. We are changing knit night to Sunday afternoons. We are open noon to 4 every Sunday.

We will be closed on the 4th of July weekend, which is July 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Madison Modern Quilt Club

The Madison Modern Quilt Club had a sew day at my shop a few weeks ago. Cindy Anderson of Janesville made this wonderful quilt with fabrics from the Bungalow. No, she didn't make it in one day, but she brought it to show me that she had used all of our fabrics. It is absolutely lovely Cindy.

We will have Modern Quilt Club this week at the Milwaukee Bungalow site on Tuesday Evening. We will have Modern Quilt Club this week in Ripon at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. Come and join us for show and tell and to discuss all things modern.

New Fabric is coming in Every Day!

We have so much new fabric coming in every day. We will continue to have the sale fabric on the table in the back for 30% off. This is great fabric, new fabric. There's an awful lot of it, and we are adding to it all the time. There are large pieces that can be used for backing. If you purchase the entire piece, and it's larger than one yard, you can take 40% off. We have also added some fabric to the sale trunk that is $5.00 per yard. This makes great backings as well.

Above, see the newest Christmas fabric to come in. I think this owl is really cute.

Also, for those of you that are always looking for cat fabric, there is some new cat fabric in the shop. I was told to include that in my email as soon as new cat fabric came in!
