Congrats to Arcadia's HOBY Recipients
HOBY Program description:
HOBY's flagship program, the State Leadership Seminar (LS), is designed to empower high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, and community. Your high school's selected student attends our three- or four-day seminar to participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet leaders in your state, and explore their personal leadership skills, while learning how to lead others and make a positive impact in the community. Every spring, nearly 10,000 high school sophomores from across the country are chosen to represent their high school in HOBY State Leadership Seminars.
We are able to send three 10th grade students in June 2016. The faculty nominated and voted and the three winners are:
Mitchell Arndt
Jack Spier
Kyle Spier
Alternate: Max McCauley

Helping our Titan Families in Need
Yes, it's that time of year! If you would like to take on a charitable cause this holiday season, please consider donating a gift card for a deserving Titan family. Ms. Hanley works with Arcadia families every day and knows which ones would most benefit from your generous gift. ANY gift card is of value, but we have found that Fry's gift cards are particularly useful, because they sell everything from food to school supplies to health and beauty aids, and there are stores accessible to all. Again NO gift card is too small. Gift cards can be dropped off at the front desk in the Main Office of Arcadia. Thanks for considering this request!

I
T'S THAT TIME AGAIN!!! TIME TO START COLLECTING FUN BOXER SHORTS!!!
Attention Senior Parents:
Boxer Bingo is one of the popular activities held during the all night graduation party at Cracker Jax.
(you play a game of bingo and if you win, you get to pick out a fun pair of boxers)
To make this happen, we need boxers donated for the event. These can be holiday boxers, boxers from
various colleges, the crazier, the better!
While you are out shopping for the holidays, or the sales after the holidays, or on college visits,
please pick up a few pairs to donate for Boxer Bingo at Project Grad!
There is a box in the office where you or your student can drop them off.
If you have questions please contact our boxer bingo chairperson:
Thank you in advance for your support!!

Message from Mr. Mooney
Our Athletic Director
The Arcadia Titan athletes LOVE seeing loud, supportive fans at ALL athletic events. You don't have to have played a sport competitively to know how wonderful it is to feel the support of a well-attended student section. There are times that it can actually make the difference between winning and losing.
Because we truly embrace the AIA's policy of "Pursuing Victory With Honor," here's what we ask of attendees at all athletic contests:
- Attend as many games as you can, dress in school colors, be loud, have fun and support the Titans.
- Do not, however, use inappropriate language, badger officials or single out players on the other team.
- It's really simple, treat visitors the way we hope to be treated when we're on the road - respectfully. That is, after all, the Titan way!

Soldier Care Package Drive in Honor of Fallen Soldier
Hello, my name is Morgan Ash and I am a sophomore at Arcadia High School. The week of

He was serving in Iraq when his HUMVEE was hit by an explosive; he was awarded many metals including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star medal. The donation boxes will be placed in the office and library all day and by the gates in the morning. Flyers will be passed out to every student which will have all the necessary supplies needed.
