Amazing Tails: Making Connections with PAWS
PAWS received the following note in February:

"Our family was the original owners of  and Coco Bella. We saw a friend post pictures of their kids reading to her and we remembered you saying how she worked with people.

"We are ever so grateful she was adopted by such a wonderful person. And our kids were so excited to see Coco Bella at the farmers market a while back and so happy to see her on Facebook with their friends reading to her.

"If there are any other events Coco Bella will be at and you don't mind, our two daughters (ages 16 and 11) would love to come read to her. We can make it to any library! Thanks in advance and again thank you for caring for Coco Bella!!!"
Pamela Seals and family

Upcoming Special Event
Tidbit Corner: Sneezy Dog?

The following is an excerpt from the WebMD article, Allergies in DogsRead the entire article here.

"The best way to treat allergies is to remove the offending allergens from the environment.

- Prevention is the best treatment for allergies caused by fleas. Start a flea control program for all of your pets before the season starts. Remember, outdoor pets can carry fleas inside to indoor pets. See your veterinarian for advice about the best flea control products for your dog and the environment.

- If dust is the problem, clean your pet's bedding once a week and vacuum at least twice weekly-this includes rugs, curtains and any other materials that gather dust.

- Weekly bathing may help relieve itching and remove environmental allergens and pollens from your dog's skin. Discuss with your vet what prescription shampoos are best, as frequent bathing with the wrong product can dry out skin."

A Note to the PAWS Office
"I want to thank the members of the PAWS Staff for presenting a most wonderful and enjoyable experience of sharing and celebration yesterday in Hockessin. I know enough about events similar to that to understand the depth of preparation required to bring that about.  It was a lot of work for all of you.  Kate and I are very, very proud to be part of PAWS.  Yesterday made us even more proud of that membership - of that identity!  The whole event was wonderful from beginning to end. Again, thanks to everyone for making the 10th Year Anniversary event such a special time for all!!!"

PAWS Shining Stars: Bev & Sabrina Parnell

I wanted to share this great picture of Bev Parnell's Therapy Companion, Sabrina, with Matthew, a student at William Penn High School. The picture was taken at the Field Day they held for their students with special needs. Matthew and Sabrina were instant friends and Matthew's laughter was contagious.
