PICTURE RETAKES DAY - FRI. NOV 20TH

Picture Retake Day is on
Friday, November 20th! Students who were absent on Picture Day should complete the LifeTouch order form, enclose payment, and return to school on Retake Day. Students who would like to retake their portrait should return their original portrait package on this day. Class photos should be kept and not returned to school.

FRIENDSHIP RECESS FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS

The English Partnership Team will be hosting fun games at lunch recess. The goal is for new English Learners to have help in building relationships.
We need volunteers to set up, organize games, and help students make friends. If you want to come and assist, please contact Lynette ([email protected]) or Fumiko ([email protected]). LWSD Background check required.

MOCK BEE - SPELLING BEE PRACTICE

The next MOCK BEE session will be on
Thursday Nov. 19th from 3-4:15pm in the school library. This session will provide students with important tips and practice for the Final School Spelling Bee. Please

Thank you for donating leftover Halloween candy, dental hygiene items, and handwritten notes to Operation Gratitude - Rockwell will be sending the following to troops overseas:
Chocolate collected: 97.4 lbs
Non-chocolate candy collected: 59 lbs
Dental Hygiene items: 8.4 lbs
Handwritten Cards and Notes: Priceless!!
164 pounds of treats for troops!

Math Challenge #4 is now available here. For this challenge, 12 qualified submissions will randomly selected for the prize. Grab some friends and family and work on challenge together!

CHESS TOURNAMENT AT ROCKWELL

Rockwell will host a chess tournament on Saturday,
January 9, 2016

It's open to any student in grades K-6.
Levels are K-1, 2-3 and 4-6 grades.

RUNNING CLUB - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Recess Running Club continues through the fall...and so does our need for parent volunteers! Come help punch lap cards on Tuesdays and Thursdays and cheer on our runners. Please sign up for a shift

Bugle Article Submissions Welcome
The Beagle Bugle welcomes article submissions from students and parents. Student journalists may submit articles about current events, students opinion-editorials and poems or short stories. Parents may submit articles about PTA events and school related topics.
Any article that is unrelated to PTA or Rockwell must be approved by the Lake Washington School District, and, upon approval, will be posted in the Peachjar eflyer system. The Lake Washington School District website has more information on the submission and approval process.
Short pieces will be edited for inclusion in the Bugle, longer pieces will be posted on the website with a link in the Bugle. The Deadline for submissions for the next weekly Bugle is the preceding Thursday. The Bugle Staff reserves the right to be selective regarding the materials that are publicized.
