"Terminator 4: The Challenges and Opportunities of the Robo Advisors"

The online "robo" advice platforms represent at once the greatest threat and the biggest transformative opportunity for the financial planning profession, potentially leading advisors to access a much broader blue ocean of clients, creating a more professional revenue model, and freeing up time to offer a variety of new client services that were never possible before.  Learning how to get ahead of this curve may take you to some of the most important and beneficial decisions you've ever made with your practice.

Andy Knott, a former Pulitzer Prize nominee and Cook County prosecutor who currently serves as a Portfolio Manager for Wintrust Wealth Management presents...
"Ethics"

Current conversations about the regulatory battles in the financial services industry often revolve around whose ox deserves to be gored.  As the fiduciary standard fight drones on, join us for a rigorous yet humorous exploration of the post Dodd-Frank financial services landscape as it relates to Certified Financial Planners and their ethics.

Besides covering the five key learning objectives mandated by the CFP® Board, the session will shine a light on some frustrating half-truths in the financial industry.

Topics to be discussed:

  • CFP® Board Learning Objectives
  • Elder financial abuse and the annuity business
  • The new "weaponization: of regulation
  • Alzheimer's meets the Baby Boomers
  • Who is Glenn Neasham and could he cut it as a CFP® ?

Daniel C. Finley, President and Co-Flounder of Advisor Solutions presents...
"Top Ten Techniques and Tools that Veterans Use to Transform Their Business"

Many veteran advisors find themselves working harder "IN" their business rather than smarter "ON" their business.  It's never easy for an advisor to admit that they know they can do better with their business but when those who are driven with the ambition to succeed realize that asking for help and guidance is actually a sign of strength rather than one of weakness, then that awareness and the willingness to do something about it can literally transform their business.

In this session advisors will learn:

  • How to Utilize the Bottom Line List & The Time Matrix To-Do List
  • How to Incorporate The New Business Strategy List
  • How to Customize The 2nd Appointment Worksheet
  • How to Detrmine Your Objections-Resolution Model
  • How to Understand SPIN, Story-Based and Personality-Based Selling
  • How to Negative Self-Talk Worksheet can Redefine Your Business Purpose
