Website redesign

We're thrilled to reveal our newly redesigned website! The site is now easier to navigate, mobile-friendly and can be viewed in Spanish. Take a look at our new resources section, view our recent news and go on a virtual tour of our services for responding to child sexual abuse.

Give backpacks to kids in need

Each fall, we provide 300 of our clients and their siblings with new backpacks, stuffed with all the supplies they need for a successful school year. Please consider supporting our efforts! You can:

  1. Give $25 and you'll give a backpack! Make a $25 donation through our website, and you'll cover the cost of a backpack and supplies for one of our kids in need.

  2. Host a supply drive. Companies and community groups collect folders, notebooks, backpacks and other supplies in their staff break rooms, lobbies or other shared spaces. We'll provide flyers and we can pick up supplies. Contact Tracy to get started.

  3. Volunteer with us. We're looking for volunteers (high school age and up, please) to sort donated supplies and stuff backpacks the evenings of Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12. Contact Tracy for more information.

Help secure funding for CACs

As a result of the current budget impasse, ChicagoCAC and the other 38 child advocacy centers (CACs) in Illinois are in serious jeopardy. We've been told to expect a 10% cut in our funding through DCFS contracts - the largest single funding source we have - unless our legislators in Springfield can agree on a budget that protects children in Illinois.

Please help the children we serve by contacting your state representative and senator. Visit our website to easily find your legislators and send our template email.

Dedication for our new addition

ChicagoCAC Dedication Ceremony

On June 18, Chicago's First Lady Ms. Amy Rule joined us to officially dedicate our new addition. Friends and supporters gathered at the center to see the facility and celebrate the services that happen under our roof - hope and healing for the children and families we serve. View a full gallery of photos on our website.
