Brian Shields Joins Delta Dental of Virginia

We are pleased to announce the
appointment of Brian Shields as our new Director of Sales and Account Management! In his new position, Shields will be responsible for managing all retention activities for group markets across Virginia. He
will work in our Richmond office.

 

Prior to joining Delta Dental of Virginia, Shields worked for United Healthcare in Richmond where he served as Director of Sales and Account Management. He brings more than 20 years of healthcare and insurance sales experience to the Delta Dental of Virginia team. He is a graduate of the University of Richmond and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  

Online Billing Roll-out Continues

It's time for the 3rd and final wave of Delta Dental of Virginia pool-rated groups to be converted to our new online billing and eligibility management system. Groups "P" through "Z" will be receiving the following letter about their transition this week.

Due to a low rate of return of the new website authorization forms that are needed to give groups access to the new online billing system, we ask that you encourage your groups to complete and return these forms as quickly as possible. All groups are required to return the signed form regardless of who is handling the online eligibility and bill payment.

Online billing and eligibility management will not only be more efficient for your groups, but it will improve efficiency at Delta Dental, which helps us keep our premiums steady and affordable. We ask that you continue to communicate this to your groups and direct them to our online billing help page if they need any help during the transition.
