2016 AIA Associate Grant Applications - Now Available!

The AIA Central Kentucky Chapter is now taking applications for AIA Associate Grants for the year 2016. The Board will also accept applications the Emerging Professionals Grants. This is a continuation of a successful program that gets Architectural Interns and Emerging Professionals active in the Central Kentucky Chapter. For those not familiar with the program, each year the AIA/CKC pays the membership costs for up to ten people to become Associate AIA members. Continuing the invitation from last year, we will consider membership for two licensed architects who have been licensed under 5 years and has never been an AIA member. Grant recipients are expected to be active in the chapter for the year the chapter pays for their membership, then continue their activity in future years and become the next generation of chapter leaders.

AIA Associate grant recipients are asked to serve on one or more of the following committees: Bourbon Blast, Trade Fair, Programs, IDP, Website, House Tour, Continuing Education, and Membership(Social).

Additionally ALL grant recipients will be expected to help on the day of the Trade Fair on March 1, 2016 and the day of the House Tour in May.

Current or prospective AIA Associate members are eligible. Applications should be returned by email to [email protected] by December 31, 2015. Up to ten AIA Associate Grants and two Emerging Professional Grants will be awarded. Questions may be directed to Marty at (502) 583-4697. The applications will be voted on at the January AIA/CKC board meeting.
