Fullerton traveled south to Escondido to take on Palomar College on Saturday afternoon and won big over the Comets in their final regular season game 42-14.
Up Next: The Hornets (6-4, 3-3) have a bye next week and will await their fate for a possible bowl game on Nov. 21.
Cross Country
The Hornets will send two to the state meet in Fresno on Nov. 21. Pablo Perez and Andrea Mendez both qualified for the Hornets with Perez placing 44th out of 193 runners (21:52.86) and Mendez placing 52nd out of 187 runners (20:37.15).
Women's Volleyball
Fullerton came out firing against the number one team in the Orange Empire Conference last Friday beating Irvine Valley College 3-2: 28-26, 18-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-9.
Up Next: FC (12-7, 7-4) will hit the road against Santa Ana College on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
Women's Water Polo
The women's FC water polo team came in second place at the Orange Empire Conference Championship Tournament over the weekend. They opened up with a nice 11-3 win over Golden West College and then fell 12-9 in the finals in overtime to the tournament host Riverside City College.
Up Next: FC will play in the Southern California Regionals to be held at Mt. San Antonio College this weekend.
Men's Water Polo
Fullerton's season ended over the weekend while at the Orange Empire Conference Championships at Riverside City College. The Hornets opened the tournament up with a big 17-8 win over Saddleback College on Friday. Then on Saturday, FC had to face off against top-ranked Golden West College and lost 19-6. In their final game of the season, Fullerton did their best against Orange Coast College, but it was not enough as they fell 13-5 to the Pirates. FC ended their season with an overall record of 11-14.
Women's Soccer
The Hornets locked down a big 7-0 win over visiting Irvine Valley College on Friday.
Up Next: FC (6-10, 5-7-2) will look to keep it going tomorrow at Santa Ana College. Game time is at 3 p.m.
Men's Basketball
The Hornets officially began their season under new head coach Perry Webster this past weekend at the Cuesta College Tournament. They opened in style with an 89-69 win over Canada College on Friday. On Saturday, they lost 71-62 to the tourney host Cuesta. Fullerton came back on Sunday to beat Allan Hancock College 70-51 to take the consolation prize.
Up Next: The Hornets will host the 32nd Fullerton College Classic this week. Participating in the year's tournament along with FC will be Bakersfield, Cypress, Chaffey, LA Southwest, LA Trade Tech, San Diego Mesa, and Victor Valley.
Women's Basketball
The Link 2 Legacy FC alumni group helped put on the second annual Colleen Riley Basketball Alumni Game this past Saturday. The turnout was great with former Hornet players from years past participating in the event. The Hornet alumni ended up beating the current FC team by a mere basket.
Up Next: The Hornets will get their season started under new full-time head Coach Marcia Foster this coming weekend at the Santa Barbara Crossover Tournament.
