 Hours of Operation

Summer Hours:

 

WEDNESDAY - FRIDAYS  

on a reservations basis from 9:00 AM to 2 hours before dusk on weekdays.  

 

SATURDAYS - SUNDAYS  9:00 AM to 5:00 pm. Last reservation time is 3:00pm.

1) How long have you worked at Silver Willow.  One month !

2) What is your role at the club? Outdoor Laborer - Assistant to Maija

3) What do you like best about working at SW?  My favorite part about Silver Willow is the atmosphere, everyone that works here is very cheerful and easy to get along with . They are all very wonderful people and I am glad to have them as my co workers. The facilities at Silver Willow are exceptional and I am proud to help keep them that way. Lastly, working outside. the nature is beautiful and I love working with the birds, trees and frogs.

4) One thing on my bucket list? Complete traveling to at least 30 different Countries.
Shoot Results and The Past Months Events

April 4th - 25th Annual Lorne Howes Memorial Shoot     
 
70 shooters attended the shoot -  a record attendance for the shoot

CONGRATULATIONS Vic !!  He shot 94 out of 100.  

This is the fourth time Vic has won this shoot !    

 

 

April 11th - Silver Willow 200 Shoot

 

88 shooters joined us for this event.  

                 Bob Ferguson was the High Over All winner with 172 /200

April 18th 
Guides and Instructor Refresher Workshop
 
A BIG Thank You goes out to Luther Cutts for his valued and generous coaching once again this year ! Silver Willow has 45 guides on their roster to help host the Corporate Team Building events.We also are home to 22 Certified NSCA Trained Instructors - It is believed that we have the largest number of trained instructors at any club in Canada and perhaps North America. All the credit for that goes to one man sharing his passion for instructing, thanks again Luther.

May 2- 2nd Annual Juniors Learn to Shoot
t ook place at Silver Willow. This new event saw 27 young people between the ages of 12 - 18 attend. Thank you once again to Don Terrio sharing the safety talk and all the guides and instructors who volunteered their time. Much appreciation goes out to Browning Canada, Federal Ammunition, Alberta Sporting Clays Association and a Silver Willow member who sponsored the food for lunch and shooting lesson gift certificate. This event is fully sponsored so attendees could join for FREE ! 
  
 
 

 

 

 
Upcoming Events

Sunday May 10th - PAL Course
is offered for restricted ( 275.00 ) and non restricted ( 250.00 ) fire arms licensing. All day course, 9:30 - 4:30 pm. Must be pre paid by this Thursday. Please call or email us if your interested and pay using your credit card.  

 

Saturday May 16 - Browning Blast - 200  * note this is a NSCA registered shoo t  to register please go to this Winscore sight- click here  Browning Blast Registration  Y ou can shoot in hunter class for this shoot and not join NSCA if you wish however you still need to register on line. Thank you.

 

Thursday May 21st - Ladies Love to Shoot League begins - see details below.  

 

Saturday and Sunday May 23 / 24 - Federal 400 - Registered CNSCA targets.

Saturday May 31st- Spring Ladies Learn to Shoot Event - ( full )

  • June 6 - Two Man Team - Ducks Unlimited - 140 (NR) FUN shoot
  • June 20 - Delta Waterfowl Shoot - 120 (NR) FUN shoot
IMPORTANT - DATE Change for the Stampede Grand Shoot  
  • July 9,10,11 and 12 - Stampede Grand - 300 (NSCA - R) More info to come, first two days will be five stand and sub-gauge shoots.

Normal Shoot Agendas are as follows - 8:00 - 9:30 Registration ( * some shoots require pre - registration ) - 10:00 am Shoot starts - noon hour lunch break - Shoot in the PM starts at 1:00 - Completed by about 3:30 - Shoot offs and Prizes to follow.

Private and semi private lessons are available at $100.00 per hour or  $110 per hour for two people.

Gun rental, ammo and clays are extra. A minimum of 1.5 hours per lesson is recommended.
