Barb Andrulonis chose the memorial of Sarah Ann (Wild) Allen (1838-1863) as the final one to clean.
Unparallelled work of husband-wife volunteer team ends on highest note.
At 10:30am on Saturday, October 31, Barb Andrulonis concluded a streak that will never be surpassed in the annals of Vine Lake Cemetery. She had cleaned her 673rd gravestone, completing a dedicated and meticulous journey which began six years ago.
Her husband Greg contributed just as fully over that span, choosing to reset slate and marble gravestones while cleaning a smaller number. He worked on small and large ones, always asking which one was next.
Greg Andrulonis, shown in the foreground, contributed enthusiasm and enterprise throughout his six years of volunteering.
Barb and Greg Andrulonis, aptly called the A-Team, recently moved to Florida where new home construction awaits them in Punta Gorda. Medfield will miss their contributions to civic and school life, but none more than the legion of named markers in Vine Lake Cemetery.
Since 2009, these two persons worked tirelessly to improve our gravescape. The marble memorials which gleam in the clear light and the slate stones which now stand erect are the direct results of Greg and Barb's passionate commitment to make the cemetery a better place.
Collectively the Trust and every visitor to the cemetery can now rise and with one voice express an over-whelming and heart-felt tribute: "You will be missed and thank you."

EPITAPHAGRAM
A Monthly Chronicle of Inscriptions
"Dear as thou wert and justly dear,
We will not weep for thee,
One thought shall check the starting tear,
It is that thou art free."
Charlotte Powell (shown in insert), a seventh great-grandaughter of John Turner (1620-1705), recently visited the cemetery to remember her second great-grandfather Charles Francis Turner (1817-1910) and her great-grandfather Emory Hollis Turner (1854-1949).
Other family members interred in the lot are her second great-grandmother Eliza (Fairbanks) Turner (1823-1894), her great-grandaunts Harriet Eliza Turner (1846-1852) and Marion Minerva Turner (1863-1879), and her great-granduncle Charles Francis Turner, Jr. (1851-1853).
