Leesburg Today is accepting nominations for the 2015 class of 40 Under 40, a program to honor Loudoun County's up-and-coming business and community leaders. Anyone under the age of 40 who lives or works in Loudoun County is eligible for the honor. TEALS (Technology Education And Literacy in Schools volunteer application for the upcoming 2015-16 school year.

TEALS helps high schools teach computer science by providing a team of trained volunteers to partner with a classroom teacher and deliver computer science to their students. If you are interested, please apply, or help us spread the word. We will be partnered with 170 high schools in 21 states for the upcoming year teaching UC Berkeley CS10 for Intro CS, and UW CSE142/143 for AP CS A.  Apply Here

Cardinal Bank Opens Fifth Arlington Banking Office.

Cardinal Bank recently marked the opening of its new banking office in Arlington, Virginia with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Local business leaders, elected officials, and community representatives joined Cardinal Bank executives and employees on April 13, 2015, for the ribbon cutting festivities officially opening the Lee Harrison Banking Office at 5335 Lee Highway. The parent company of StoneSpring Emergency Center in Dulles South will give up to $1 million to support the Nepal earthquake relief efforts of three international organizations. Hospital Corporation of America will donate to Doctors Without Borders, MedShare International + more. Special Olympics Seeking Volunteers for VA Wine Country Half Marathon.

Special Olympics is partnering with Destination Races again this year and volunteering for their Virginia Wine Country ½ Marathon. Many volunteer options available. Supervised children age 10 and over qualify.
