This Month's Seminar:  Preparing Compelling Proposals in LPTA and Tradeoff Environments

Our last seminar of the Program Year will provide attendees a detailed look at the Government evaluation process and how source selection teams evaluate proposals in an LPTA and a best value environment. Mr. Charlie Shafer will discuss how the Government evaluates "acceptability" for LPTA competitions when the technical acceptability criteria is not well defined.  Additionally, the speaker will discuss the intricacies of best value trade-off and how the Government weighs technical and price factors.

Jessica Grant

Chapter President

Time flies - the NCMA Dulles Corridor Chapter has reached the end of the 2014 - 2015 Program Year!

I have truly enjoyed to serve the membership through my role as President, and I hope that you found value in the programs that the team organized for our chapter's educational and professional development.

We'll close out the year with a seminar on Friday, June 19th about preparing compelling proposals in an LPTA environment, as well as best value trade-off-what happens behind the scenes when Government evaluators are doing the trade-off process. Click here for more information and to register.

Please also note that World Congress in Dallas, TX is coming up! If you'll be in attendance, please let us know - we'd love to meet up in Dallas! Click here for more information on the conference.

It's been a pleasure serving you as Chapter President, and I wish you all a wonderful summer!

Take care,

Jessica Grant, CFCM

Chapter President

Consider Volunteering for the Next Program Year

Volunteers are the engine of all NCMA chapters. Without them, the membership is deprived of opportunities to learn, network, and develop professionally.

The NCMA Dulles Corridor Chapter's membership has grown tremendously in the past few years and we now have over 500 members! As the membership grows, the chapter's offerings should grow as well to maximize participation by the members. In order to do that, the chapter needs more members to volunteer and to make every event a success!

Won't you consider volunteering and offering your time to the chapter? Volunteering can mean serving as an officer, chairing a committee, or just helping out. There are so many ways (some you may not realize) to help so please take a moment to review all the possible areas and if you're interested sign up using the volunteer form provided. Thank you in advance!

World Congress: Let Us Know If You're Attending

This year's World Congress is at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas, TX. Chapter Treasurer Michael Shingledecker was selected by NCMA as one of several volunteers to assist during the event.

As with every World Congress, NCMA is hosting the Summer Chapter Leader Summit for NCMA chapter leaders. The summit takes place the weekend before World Congress (July 25-26).  NCMA's chapter leader training series provides an opportunity for chapter leaders across the country to share their experiences, hear advice on chapter success, and connect with their fellow leaders. Several Dulles Corridor Chapter Executive Council are attending so that we can bring back ideas to improve on our current success and grow the chapter for you, our members.

If you're planning to attend World Congress, drop us a line . We would love to meet up with you during the event!
