SENIORS SI PROGRAM

Seniors SI is a partnership between Innoweave and the Government of Canada to help communities across Canada generate, implement, and scale socially innovative community-level approaches to reduce the social isolation of seniors.

Seniors SI will support a forthcoming call for proposals for the federal New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP). The NHSP will fund projects that are part of community-wide efforts to reduce social isolation among seniors. Innoweave will support the development and implementation of community-wide approaches and projects eligible to apply for NHSP funding through engagement sessions and coaching.

Engagement sessions will be held in communities across Canada and online. These sessions will introduce Seniors SI and collective impact and will provide an opportunity for groups to engage with each other on innovative ways to reduce the social isolation of seniors. A session is scheduled for Calgary on April 23 and an online session is scheduled for May 5.
