NEW HOME REPAIR LOAN PROGRAM FOR SENIORS
The Government of Alberta has announced that a new home repair loan program will replace the Special Needs Assistance for Seniors grant. The new program will be open to all Alberta seniors who own their homes. Through government, they will be able to obtain a low-interest home repair loan with no payments until the home is sold. The interest rate has not yet been fixed, but Minister Johnson said it will be low. It is expected that the program will be introduced in July.

ALBERTA SENIORS BUSINESS PLAN
The Government of Alberta released the Alberta Seniors Business Plan 2015-20 on March 26, 2015. The plan outlines desired outcomes, priority initiatives and performance measures/indicators. Outcomes include:
- Seniors have access to supports that assist them to be independent and participate in their communities
- Seniors' safety and well-being is supported
- Albertans most in need have access to appropriate accommodation options

FOOD SERVICES MANAGER/EXECUTIVE CHEF

Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for all food services at Sage including The Sunshine Café, Sage Savories frozen meals and in-house catering services. Duties include menu planning, food preparation, purchasing, cost controls, compliance with health and safety regulations, staff and volunteer supervision.
Qualifications of this position include: minimum 5 years of Food Services and Kitchen Management experience and Journeyman Cook Certificate or equivalent. Hours of work are seven hours/day, Monday - Friday.
