Volunteer Opportunity! Be a co-conspirator for Folk!

FSGW Board Members make it all happen. We could not offer hundreds of dances, concerts, festivals, story sessions, jams and other events each year without dedicated board members to plan and implement our activities. We are recruiting new board members for a 1-year term beginning July 1.

Please consider running for the Board.  You can contact the election committee at  [email protected] Know somebody who would be perfect for the Board? Nominations will be accepted at the Mike Agranoff concert on March 21 (see details, below) and at the Sunday Contra Dance on March 22.

Autoharp, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, lap dulcimer, jaw harp, mouth bow and guitar meet viol, rebec, kamenj and renaissance fiddle in this ultimate fusion event that mixes early and traditional music and instruments. A typical double crossover show may include some blues, a vaudeville number like 'Under the Chicken Tree,' a medieval cantiga, a sing-along gospel song, a renaissance dance, a version of 'Little Rabbit' on the mouth bow, a few fiddle tunes on the rebec and a big audience participation jug band finale. It's fun, mildly educational and occasionally desperately silly.
