From the Desk of the President
 
After months of preparation and planning, the 28th program year has begun.

The class of 2016 enjoyed our kickoff reception on September 24th, and received a warm welcome from so many alumni and friends of LTB. Special thanks to the Tampa Club for their hospitality!

Just two short weeks later, the class convened again for opening retreat at Saddlebrook Resort. A highlight from day one was that at least one boat survived each of the heats and both (nearly) survived the runoff. That has to be a record. I recall my team's boat sunk about three strokes in. Day two speakers just blew the class away and set a fantastic tone for the year.

Thank you to Debra Hoffman, Patsy Stills, Stu Williams and Alice Bessette for your planning prowess to make the event such a success and to Dr. Nick Hall, Jim Hackman, Coach Robert Weiner and Tye Maner for joining us to address the class.

This group will do great things; I cannot wait to see the year unfold. Stay tuned!

Class of 2015 Community Project    
 
Hats off to the class of 2015 for their successful class project! Co-presidents Jackie Skryd, SPC, and Danna Bramlett, Florida Aquarium, led their class in a community event on September 25th which raised funds for the ArtsXchange Renovation Project in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg. Months of planning and preparation resulted in a $21,000 donation to the cause. Fantastic job to all involved!
