Blessed, Inspired & Grateful: Be BIG for God

October 14, 2015

My warmest love to all!

Do you know what you love to do?  Do you do what you love to do?

One of my favorite hobbies is writing.  I have enjoyed playing with words for as long as I can remember.  One time, when I was a young girl, I went to the library and asked the librarian if she would help me find books on writing.  She was so eager to help me.  She took me by the hand and we walked over to a section of books that seemed to excite her too.  She started pulling out books, one at a time and telling me why I might enjoy each one.  After awhile I found myself holding a stack of books on horseback riding.  I couldn ' t figure out how these books would make me a better writer, but surely the librarian wouldn ' t steer me wrong!

Words are fascinating indeed.  I 'd much rather spend an afternoon writing than riding horses.  My sister got the animal-loving gene and just bought a farm and a couple of new horses.  But the only riding I do is behind my man on the Harley Davidson.  And still, I 'd rather play with words.

The message this week  will be a unique presentation on empowered words, or as Ernest Holmes once stated, how to endow your words with great power.

And the Ja Ja's (who also do magical things with words), will be singing in our sanctuary!  We don 't get the Ja Ja's in the west valley very often, so join us for this musical treat: Jeanne and Barb are coming to play!  Let 's have some fun!!

My love to all,

Rev. Karen

Trained and licensed Practitioners are available for prayer support every Sunday after the service; and for private appointments.

To schedule a private appointment, click here for a list of licensed practitioners. You may also drop your confidential prayer request into the prayer box located in the Sanctuary or in the bookstore.  If you would like prayers from the community, post your request on the magnetic wall in the sanctuary.

(Practitioners are bound by a strict Code of Ethics which requires them to serve you on a confidential basis.  The Practitioner, who does not advise, will listen to your description of the conditions you are experiencing and through inquiry will determine first cause. This cause is the belief at work that is creating your current effects. The Practitioner will then assist you in reversing the limiting thought, and through Spiritual Mind Treatment will set the changes in motion.)
