Starting a food-based business

Its not too late to register to attend this very instructive workshop.  Charlynda Nyenke, CEO of Mutt's Sauce will be presenting information on steps to starting a food based business and sharing the story of her journey.

After inheriting the Mutt's Sauce recipe from her grandfather, Charlie "Mutt" Ferrell, Charlynda wasted no time on the journey to making Mutt's Sauce a household name. She went from concept to first production in a record four months. Within the first year, she secured contracts with a hotels, restaurants and grocery stores in Ohio and Tennessee.

This workshop will not only teach you steps to starting a food based business, but will give you the opportunity to ask questions from someone who has successfully turned her family's secret recipe into a business.

Savvy Small Business Collaboration

The Small Business Development Center at Wright State University is gathering a cohort of small business owners to meet monthly for guided discussions on topics central to business success. Our goal is for participants to share best practices and provide each other with support and ideas for improving their businesses. Topics areas will include communications, planning, technology and finance.
