Living Stations of the Cross Fifth grade students presented a Lenten Living Stations of the Cross on March 18th & 19th at St. Anne Church. The students were involved in all aspects of the solemn reenactment of Jesus carrying the cross to His crucifixion. |
Church History
Did you know the sacrament of Penance was only received once in a lifetime until Irish monks introduced the practice of frequent devotional confession?
Mrs. Brewster's 11th grade Church History classes have been studying the spread of Christianity during the first eight centuries. St. Patrick's Day was the perfect opportunity to learn about the contributions of the Irish monks to the preservation and growth of the Church during the Dark Ages.

Welcome, Little Vikes!
Open enrollment for St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic Preschool is underway. The new Preschool will expand Catholic education in Columbus, and the surrounding area, by starting with early childhood, ages 1 to 3.
Opening in August 2015, the Preschool's age-appropriate curriculum will encourage developmental growth in language, art, music, science, imaginary play, social skills, large and small motor skills, self-help skills, language skills, and pre-math skills. Half- and full-day classes will be offered, and the student-to-teacher ratio will be 8:1.

Reading Reward
Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are jumping for joy! Those who met their third quarter Accelerated Reading goals celebrated their successes in this bounce house, brought to campus March 20th.
Next quarter, goal earners will be treated to a picnic lunch on the football field.

Jump Rope for Heart
First through 5th
graders raise $5,106 for the American Heart Association during this year's Jump Rope for Heart! Money raised will help advance the organization's mission: To build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Georgia National History Day
Seven St. Anne-Pacelli 8th graders will head to Mercer University, in Macon, next month, to participate in Georgia's National History Day Fair, after their projects placed at the regional level. Our students earned three 1st place awards, two 2nd place awards, three 3rd place awards, as well as one Honorable Mention at the March 20th regional competition at LaGrange College.

Senior Service Project Spotlight
For her high school senior service project, Chloe Tharpe cleaned a portion of the St. Anne-Pacelli campus. She then used her creative talents to transform the area. Her campus beautification project will be enjoyed by many for years to come!

Uniform Sales
*The Home & School Association is hosting a Used Uniform Sale March 31st, from 8:15 a.m. until 5 p.m., in the High School Auditorium Foyer. Used uniform prices range from $1 to $10.
*Uniform Source will be on campus April 1st, from Noon until 5:30 p.m., for uniform fittings. There will be a 20 percent discount on all orders placed during this event.

Jockeys & Juleps
St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School's 9th Annual Spring Event will be Saturday, April 25th, from 7 to 10 p.m., in St. Anne Catholic Church's Visitation Hall.
Enjoy an evening of horse racing, silent and live auctions, as well as Best Hat and Bow Tie contests. Admission is $20 per person pre-sale and $25 per person the evening of the event. All proceeds will go to St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School.
